Abstract

The present invention discloses a method for forming an elongated support structure having a central hollow, the method comprising positioning an elongated core member in a horizontal direction and then forming a core assembly by positioning a first tension member at a first end, wherein the The first tension member includes a tension member extending along an exterior of the core member from a first end of the core member to a second tension member at a second end of the core member. An outer mold assembly is connected to the core assembly positioned between the first and second tension members to form a combined mold and core assembly while forming a cavity extending around and along the central core member, a plurality of tension members extending through the cavity. The tensioning element is then tensioned, the combined mold and core assembly is positioned in a vertical orientation, and concrete is injected into the cavity between the elongated core member and the outer mold assembly.
