Abstract

A live conductor is provided for a plug connector and has at least two strands partially surrounded by electrical insulating means. The electrical conductor has at least one storage chamber for an electrically insulating medium. The storage space is closed by at least one push rod, by means of which the sealing medium can be pressed into the at least one sealing space through the at least one outlet nozzle. Plug connectors with live conductors have sealing devices with sealing bodies. The sealing body has an elastically deformable seal which can be elastically deformed by means of a wedge-shaped slide. The wedge-shaped slider has a tapered surface, which cooperates with the tapered surface of the seal. The wedge-shaped slide, which is axially preloaded by a compression spring, is guided in a holder that secures the sealing body axially.
