Abstract

According to the method, a walnut tree meeting the following requirements is chosen: a J. sigillata Dode tree grows for four to twenty years, a tree body is a transplanted grafted seedling, the distance between the base of a trunk and the branching position of a branch closest to the ground is larger than 1m, annual growth of young sprouts is 50cm in length, vegetative branches account for more than 60 percent of the branches of the whole tree, and the J. sigillata Dode tree body does not fruit within four to ten years. Spiral girdling is performed from the base of the trunk from bottom to top in fifteen to twenty days before the beginning of spring, the depth of spiral girdling just reaches xylem, the width of spiral girdling is one-tenth of the diameter of the trunk, the spiral pitch ranges from 10cm to 20cm, and the height of spiral girdling ranges from 60cm to 80cm.
