The invention relates to self-lit music type lamp finial ornaments. Briefly described, light generating and / or emitting finial ornaments are disclosed for both utility and decorative purposes. These finials may be used for dim lighting of a room such as to replace night lamps or for romantic occasions, and be changed based on seasonal traditions or holiday customs. In some embodiments the finials have their own batteries and LED lights and in other embodiments the finials' rechargeable batteries may be charged by the light emitting from the lamp on which the finials are mounted. In some embodiments the finials may be screwed to the finial stud of the lamp harp, and in some other embodiments the finials may merely be placed on a substantially horizontal support plate screwed or attached to the top of the lamp harp, which may also act as wireless charging pad.
