Abstract

The invention relates to a pixel circuit and an active matrix organic light-emitting display. The pixel circuit comprises a first thin film transistor and a second thin film transistor. The grid of the first thin film transistor is connected with a scanning line which is used for providing a pulse width modulation signal, the grid of the second thin film transistor is connected with the drain of the first thin film transistor, and the switch-on time and switch-off time of the second thin film transistor are controlled by the pulse width modulation signal. According to the pixel circuit and the active matrix organic light-emitting display, pixels are digitally driven to emit light, namely, rapid switch-on and switch-off of the second thin film transistor are controlled by the pulse width modulation signal so as to modulate the duty ratio of the pulse width modulation signal, and therefore display of full-color images can be achieved; it is unnecessary to arrange a capacitor in the pixel circuit, so that the structure is simpler, and the power consumption is lower; furthermore, no capacitor influences the aperture ratio of the pixels, so that the active matrix organic light-emitting display has higher brightness, and the resolution ratio is easier to increase.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of flat panel display, in particular to a pixel circuit and an active matrix organic light emitting display. Background technique [0002] Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Display (English full name Active Matrix Organic Lighting Emitting Display, referred to as AMOLED) can emit light by itself, unlike Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (English full name Thin Film Transistor liquid crystal display, referred to as TFT-LCD) requires a backlight system (backlight system) ) to light up, so the visibility and brightness are higher, and it is thinner and lighter. At present, active matrix organic light-emitting displays are hailed as a new generation of displays that can replace thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays. [0003] Please refer to figure 1 , which is a circuit diagram of a pixel of an active matrix organic light emitting display in the prior art. Such as figure 1 As shown, each ...
