The invention discloses a preparation method for a Chinese patentmedicine concentrate treating typhoid fever. The Chinese patentmedicine concentrate is prepared according to the following steps: (1) weighing 8-10 parts by weight of radix scutellariae, 8-10 parts by weight of dry ginger, 8-10 parts by weight of ginseng, 2-6 parts by weight of rhizoma coptidis, 7-12 parts by weight of jujube, and 2-5 parts by weight of radix glycyrrhizae, mixing, and then grinding into a fine powder; (2) putting the powder obtained in the step (1) into a container, then adding 3000-4000 parts by weight of water, boiling for 50-75 min, and finally concentrating the soup; and (3) filtering the solution obtained in the step (2), so as to obtain the rhizome-pinelliae heart-purging concentrate.
