Abstract

The present disclosure relates to providing a method for collecting and organizing media content in social media. The method begins by providing a stream of posts of media content for a user account and receiving a selection from the user account of media content provided within the stream. The selected media content is moved from the stream to the playlist interface. The selected media content is organized within the playlist interface into categories based on content type to generate a playlist for the user account. An organized playlist of selected media content is provided for presentation at a display device for accessing a user account.
