Abstract

The present invention discloses a data redistribution method and apparatus. The data redistribution method comprises: determining a current storage address of a data block which needs to be migrated and a target storage node; storing a pointer corresponding to the data block in the target storage node, wherein the pointer corresponding to the data block points to the current storage address of the data block; updating the current storage address of the data block in a data management node into a storage address of the pointer corresponding to the data block in the target storage node; when a preset trigger condition of migrating the data block is met, acquiring the pointer corresponding to the data block from the target storage node; and migrating the data block stored in the address to which the pointer points to the storage address of the pointer in the target storage node. Compared with the prior art, the problem of long service interruption time of a storage system is avoided.
