Abstract

This medical instrument (1, 1A, 1B, 1C) has an incision electrode (4) at the tip of a flexible tube (20) with an articulated section (10) interposed therebetween. Said articulated section (10) has a rotating shaft (11) and a support section (12). The base of the incision electrode (4) is affixed to said rotating shaft (11). The rotating shaft (11) is supported by the support section (12) so as to be able to rotate relative thereto. The support section (12) has a storage section (18). A drive mechanism (30) drives the rotating shaft (11) via wires (24, 25) and pulleys (22, 23). With the incision electrode (4) stored inside the storage section (18), said incision electrode (4) is positioned near a target site. The drive mechanism (30) rotates the rotating shaft (11) so as to make the incision electrode (4) protrude from the storage section (18). A high-frequency current is supplied to the incision electrode (4), which makes an incision at the target site. Since the incision electrode (4) can be stored inside the articulated section (10), a cover member for covering the incision electrode (4) is unnecessary.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to medical devices and medical systems. This application is based on and claims priority to US Patent Application No. 61 / 806,114, filed March 28, 2013, in the United States provisionally, the contents of which are incorporated herein. Background technique [0002] Conventional medical instruments have needle-shaped, rod-shaped, hook-shaped electrodes or forceps protruding toward the front end. When the conventional medical instruments are inserted into the channels of manipulators such as endoscopes, the inside of the channels may be damaged. surface, or interfere with the inner surface of the channel and prevent smooth passage through the channel. Therefore, it is known that these medical instruments are provided with a cover-shaped member outside the electrode, forceps, etc., or provided with a mechanism for pulling the electrode, forceps, etc. into the inside of the cover-shaped member. [0003] For example, Patent Do...
