Embodiment 1

[0028] A Nd:YAG all-solid-state continuous laser with a wavelength of 1064nm is used to preheat the mixed gas with an output of 50W laser. Subsequently, the mixed gas was ignited by a 532nm green nanosecond laser with a repetition rate of 10Hz and a single pulse energy of 100mJ.

[0029] The laser ignition operation according to this embodiment is completed under the above conditions, and the ignition of the mixture of methane and air is realized.

Embodiment 2

[0031] Using CO 2 Continuous laser with a wavelength of 10.6um, which outputs 150W laser to preheat the mixed gas. The mixed gas is ignited by a picosecond laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm, a repetition rate of 10 kHz, and a single pulse energy of 0.5 mJ.

[0032] The laser ignition operation according to this embodiment is completed under the above conditions, and the ignition of the mixture of methane and air is realized.

Abstract

The invention provides a device and method for ignition by generating plasma sparks through continuous and pulsed dual-mode lasers in a gas breakdown manner. The device is mainly provided with a continuous laser transmitting end, a pulsed laser transmitting end, a fuel injection device, a cylinder cover, a combustion chamber, a piston and the like. The laser transmitting ends do not stretch into the combustion chamber. According to the device and method for ignition through the continuous and pulsed dual-mode lasers in the gas breakdown manner, the plasma sparks can always be reliably generated to ignite a fuel-air mixture in the combustion chamber; and the ignition path/range can be effectively increased, the ignition speed can be increased, the combustion area can be increased, combustion efficiency can be improved, and fuel can be saved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of advanced laser application technology, and specifically relates to a laser ignition device and method, in particular to a device and method for ignition by using continuous and pulsed dual-mode lasers to generate plasma sparks in a gas breakdown manner. Background technique [0002] The laser ignition device is a device used for internal ignition of the engine. It mainly involves two ignition methods, namely, the gas breakdown ignition method and the target breakdown ignition method. Among them, the working principle of the gas breakdown ignition method is to input the pulsed laser with high peak power into the combustion chamber of the engine. When the laser power density exceeds the breakdown threshold of the fuel gas mixture in the combustion chamber, plasma sparks are generated in the combustion chamber. The fuel-air mixture is ignited rapidly in an ignition method similar to a traditional electric spark. Lase...
