Abstract

The present invention provides methods for monitoring drug delivery. In one aspect, a method includes receiving first information indicative of a receipt of fluid medication in a container for a patient and second information indicative of a current status of fluid medication delivery to the patient. The method also includes determining whether the patient's fluid medication order is consistent with a current state of the patient's fluid medication delivery, and providing an alert indicating the fluid medication order when the comparison indicates that the patient's fluid medication order is not consistent with the patient's fluid medication delivery. Inconsistencies with the current state of fluid drug delivery. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.
