Abstract

The invention provides a method and an apparatus for processing a virtualized network function service fault, and the method and the apparatus are used for solving a problem that a VNF service fault and an NFVI resource can not be rapidly associated and positioned when a service or application fault is found by a traditional element management system (EMS) under a network function virtualization (NFV) system. The invention comprises the following steps of acquiring service fault information sent by a VNF element, wherein the service fault information carries an identification of a first virtual machine in which a fault occurs and the first virtual machine is a virtual machine configured for the VNF element by a virtualized network function manager (VNFM); acquiring first NFVI resource information corresponding to the identification of the first virtual machine according to a pre-stored mapping relationship between an identification of a virtual machine and network function virtualization infrastructure NFVI resource information; and determining a device in which a fault occurs according to the first NFVI resource information. In embodiments of the invention, a user can rapidly position a device in which a fault occurs according to the VNF service fault.
