Problems solved by technology

[0018] The sensor is not protected, and therefore, when the hammer is removed, the sensor can suffer damage, for example by impact
[0019] There is currently no hammer in the art that includes an impact-resistant integrated sensor; in fact, since the casing is made in one piece and the shape of the casing is dictated by standards imposed by the manufacturer of the machine to which such a hammer must be applied , there is no protection for this sensor

Embodiment Construction

[0027] Referring to the figures listed above, an air hammer or coring vibrator 2 is suitable for decoring foundry castings.

[0028] Hammer 2 comprises a casing 3 which in turn comprises: an inner chamber 32 ; an inlet circuit 4 for the entry of compressed air and an outlet circuit 5 for the discharge of compressed air.

[0029] Said hammer 2 also comprises, by way of non-limiting example, a connection flange 36 via which the hammer 2 can be connected to a coring machine. Preferably, said connecting flange 36 is included in the casing 3 as one piece.

[0030] An example of an implementation of the casing is through image 3 , Figure 4A to Figure 4D Shown by way of example.

[0031] The hammer 2 also includes a kinematic mechanism 7 for generating a reciprocating vibratory motion under the action of compressed air.

[0032] The casing 3 of the hammer 2 according to the invention is made of an alloy based on aluminum.

[0033] In an exemplary but non-limiting embodiment, t...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a pneumatic hammer or de- coring vibrator (2) for de-coring of foundry castings. The hammer (2) comprises: a jacket (3), in turn comprising: an inner chamber (32); an inlet circuit (4) for the entry of compressed air, and an outlet circuit (5) for the exit of compressed air. The hammer further comprises a motion mechanism (7) for generating a vibratory motion under the action of compressed air; said mechanism being arranged within the inner chamber (32) of the jacket (3); and a punch or beater (6), connected to said motion mechanism ( 7 ), for coming into contact with the casting to be subjected to de-coring. The jacket (3) of said hammer is made of an alloy comprising aluminium, silicon and magnesium.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to pneumatic vibrators, also known in the industry as pneumatic hammers, for decoring castings made of aluminium, steel and ferrous alloys. Background technique [0002] For the purposes of this specification, the term "coring" generally refers to the removal of sand material from a foundry casting. [0003] And, for the purpose of this specification, the term "casting" refers to a part / object obtained by casting metal in a suitable mould. [0004] Patent WO2007006936 describes an air hammer or a coring vibrator. [0005] The vibrator or hammer includes a casing that includes holes for the entry and exit of compressed air. Inside the casing there is a mechanical assembly including an air cylinder in which a piston slides under the action of compressed air. Said piston is in contact with a striker which in turn strikes the casting to be subjected to decoring. [0006] The hammer includes an attachment flange that allows...
