Embodiment 1

Abstract

The invention discloses a thickening composition for a water-soluble high-molecular compound. The composition is prepared from dendritic or hyperbranched polyamine of which at least a part of terminal amido is subjected to cationization, and clay. The thickening composition is high in viscosity and good in stability. Under a condition of less addition quantity, a conventional thickening agent can be replaced to thicken a water-soluble coating compound, and a thickening effect is obvious. The invention also discloses the water-borne coating composition containing the thickening composition.
