The embodiment of the invention discloses a calculation method and device for a convenience index. The numbers of points of interest of all types near a site to be measured are respectively counted according to the type of the points of interest. The scores of the site to be measured in regard of the type of the points of interest are calculated on the basis of the number of the points of interest of each type and scoring models corresponding to the type of the points of interest. The convenience indexes of the site to be measured are calculated on the basis of the scores of the site to be measured in regard of the type of each point of interest, thereby achieving the quantitative calculation of the convenience index. With statistical characteristics, therefore, the calculation method and device for the convenience index have the advantages that the calculated convenience index can objectively reflect the convenience index of the site to be measured.
