A method of calculating punching energy of boxing based on a smart band is provided. The smart band is put on a wrist and comprises a data acquisition unit and a data calculating unit; the data acquisition unit acquires punching data of boxing punches and transmits the punching data to the data calculating unit; the data calculating unit performs punch calculation on the punching data to obtain punching energies. A user may, through the method, know his or her approximate speed of punch throwing and punching energy with no need for additional redundant devices.
