The method comprises the steps of extracting the rhubarb by a flash extraction method, recovering part of alcohol from a rhubarb extract, adding a polymeric flocculant into liquor for adsorption and clarification, taking clear supernate for continued concentration, adding acid to regulate acidity to separate out a precipitate, dissolving the precipitate with alkaline, performing centrifugation to remove impurities, and adding acid to separate out higher-content rhubarb total anthraquinone. Apreparation technology is time-saving, simple and convenient in operation, energy-saving and environment-friendly; a product is free from residual toxic solvent; and the method is suitable for industrial production of rhubarb total anthraquinone by using the rhubarb.
