Abstract

Methods and systems for measuring one or more properties of a sample are provided. The method and system may include multiplexed measurements of signals associated with multiple wavelengths without adding any signal independent noise and without increasing the total measurement time. One or more encoding levels, where in some examples an encoding level may be nested within one or more other encoding levels. Multiplexing may include wavelength, position and detector state multiplexing. A or multiple signal groupings, thereby enhancing SNR. In some examples, the system may be configured to optimize the condition for each group separately based on the attribute for a given group.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims the benefit of US Provisional Patent Application 62 / 325,927, filed April 21, 2016, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference for all purposes. technical field [0003] This typically involves a multiplexing and encoding scheme used to measure one or more properties of the sample. Background technique [0004] Absorption spectroscopy is an analytical technique that can be used to determine one or more properties of a sample. Conventional systems and methods for absorption spectroscopy can include emitting light into a sample. As light is transmitted through the sample, a portion of the light energy is absorbed at one or more wavelengths. This absorption can cause a change in the properties of light exiting the sample. Properties of light exiting the interface of the sample may be compared to properties of light exiting a reference object, and one or more properties of ...
