A preparation method of the cultivation substrate for thelarge-flowered dwarf zinnia comprises the following steps: (1) preparing garden humus soil; (2) mixing materials; and (3) adding auxiliary materials. According to the invention, long-acting sufficientnutrients can be provided for the zinnia by designing the cultivation substrate for the large-flowered dwarf zinnia, the flowering quality of the zinnia is improved, and the flowering period is prolonged. The humus soil prepared by crushing garden organic wastes is rich in nutrition; by virtue of the use of cassava residues, waste is converted into treasure; and by adding the natural plant growthregulator, the healthy growth of the plants can be promoted.
