[0017] At a high level, preferred embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods and computer program products for handling conversational systems or indirect utterances in dialog systems. Indirect utterances are statements that really mean requests, however, they are statements. These statements do not match the logical form of the request processed by the system. Therefore, dialog systems or conversational systems cannot directly generate responses based on utterances.
