port management system and method, belonging to the technical field of methods or devices for detecting and recording carriers. The
system includes: a panel description tag attached to the
fiber optic distribution panel, an adjustable-
pitch multi-channel tag read / write probe board, an
intelligent management terminal host, and a management platform. The panel description tag stores port row identifiers, as well as panel information such as the number of port rows and columns and port
pitch. The adjustable-pitch multi-channel tag read / write probe board achieves rapid adjustment of the
probe array center distance by replacing the rack blocks. The
intelligent management terminal host automatically compares the pitch and guides the pitch adjustment; after pitch matching, it drives the
probe array to achieve batch read / write and consistency
verification of port tags. The management platform is used to receive the results and update the
fiber optic resource ledger. This invention achieves self-identification, self-
adaptation, and batch read / write of multi-specification panels, significantly improving operation and maintenance efficiency and reducing error write rate and inventory costs.
