A storage area is accessed by automated guided vehicles which receive and unload containerized loads. On the waterside, loads are exchanged between the vehicles and ships using quay cranes. On the ground transportation side, loads are exchanged between the vehicles and truck or rail carriers using semi automated or automated remote-controlled bridge cranes. Within the storage area, loads are exchanged between the vehicles and the storage facilities using automated stacking cranes. The vehicles are adapted to receive a cassette storage platform which in turn receives standard ISO containers. The vehicles also are adapted to receive one or more alternative platforms including a coning platform for workers to manage container coning, a reefer access and maintenance platform, and a worker transport platform. The use of a single vehicle type with interchangeable platforms allows for maximum flexibility and efficiency. The automation of the vehicle allows for complete contamination within the storage portion of the system.
The system thus substantially extends the reach of automation to cover both landside and waterside intra-terminal transfer operations. By this extension, the interface of workers and machines is greatly reduced, increasing safety, productivity, security, and capacity. By this extension, the robotic control process can be fully optimized, increasing velocity and reliability while reducing the terminal's environmental footprint.

System and method of vehicle surveillance

The invention relates to a system and method of conducting surveillance of stolen vehicles. Stolen vehicle information is downloaded from a database to a central server. At the central server, vehicle information is parsed to the specific requirements. Each subscribing jurisdiction downloads its area-specific stolen vehicle database to a subscriber workstation, e.g., via the Internet or an intranet. Police cars have on-board mobile surveillance points having a camera and a processor. A copy of the area-specific stolen vehicle database is loaded into each car's processor. The mobile surveillance point reads license plates of vehicles in traffic, and the processor compares the license plates to stolen plate numbers stored in the database. The processor activates a signal to alert the officer. Stationary checkpoints located in the jurisdiction have a stationary surveillance point having a camera and a processor. The surveillance system stores images and creates a database of all vehicle plates in the area. The surveillance data is downloaded to the subscriber computer. The subscriber computer has a map database. A comparison algorithm identifies stolen vehicles in the area and their direction of travel, and displays the information on an area map. The analysis if performed with a spatial analysis algorithm along with temporal analysis using police officer's experience and knowledge of the area and vehicle types (make / model / value / etc) stolen. The police officer analyzes patterns of stolen vehicles and generates suggested new locations for checkpoints, narrowing in on a possible chop shop location.

By the aid of the detection device, a microphone array signal acquisition module acquires an audio signal on a lane, the audio signal is subjected to band-splitting filtering and framing through a signal processing module after being subjected to de-noising processing through a noise suppression module, cross-correlation processing is conducted among sub-band signals, an audio space spectrogram is obtained, a vehicle detection module tracks a track of the maximum value on the audio space spectrogram and judges whether a vehicle passes, and the vehicle type and the vehicle speed are obtained through a vehicle type recognition module and a vehicle speed recognition module if the vehicle passes. The detection method is based on the device, a minimum statistical noise estimation method of the adaptive window length is adopted, the signal which is subjected to noise suppression processing is subjected to band-splitting filtering and framing processing, then cross-correlation processing is conducted among same sub-band signals, cross-correlation results are summed after being subjected to amplitude compression and are unfolded along a timer shaft, and an audio signal space-time spectrum is obtained. The method and the device have the advantages of being low in cost, low in energy consumption,easy to construct, interference resisting, capable of working in all weather and the like.

Complete vehicle off-line configuration system and configuration method thereof

The invention discloses an end-of-line configuration system and a configuration method for a finished vehicle. The system comprises a vehicle type configuration database, end-of-line equipment which is applicable to a controller area network (CAN) platform, and one or more electric control units in the finished vehicle, wherein the vehicle type configuration database is used for storing and querying finished vehicle codes and the finished vehicle configuration information, corresponding to each finished vehicle code, of the vehicle type; the end-of-line equipment is used for acquiring the finished vehicle configuration information from the vehicle type configuration database, coding the finished vehicle configuration information and writing the finished vehicle configuration information into the electric control units; the end-of-line equipment is connected with the vehicle type configuration database and the electric control units through CAN communication; and the electric control units are used for acquiring configuration information codes from the end-of-line equipment. The invention has the advantages that: the structure of the vehicle is not changed; and the configuration ofthe finished vehicle is adjusted by flashing the configuration codes, so the quantity of the electric control units is effectively reduced, and the electric control units can be applied to vehicles of different configurations.
