Abstract

The invention discloses an emergency exit system (10). The emergency exit system comprises a first main structural bulkhead (12), a second main structural bulkhead (14) extending substantially parallel to the first main structural bulkhead (12), a door opening (16) arranged between the first main structural bulkhead (12) and the second main structural bulkhead (14), and a door (22), the door is displaceable substantially parallel to the first main structural bulkhead (12) and the second main structural bulkhead (14) between a closed position and an open position. The door (22) closes the dooropening (16) in its closed position. The door (22) opens the door opening (16) in its open position. At least one of the main structural bulkheads (12, 14) comprises a main structural guide element (26) for guiding the door (22) when the door (22) is displaced between its closed position and its open position.
