Abstract

The invention provides a method for cultivating low-potassium-tolerant rice. The method specifically comprises the following steps: cloning a rice OsHAK7 gene; constructing a pHB-OsHAK7 overexpression recombinant plasmid; obtaining an OsHAK7 overexpression positive plant; and obtaining low potassium tolerant rice. The invention provides an application of an OsHAK7 gene in improving the low potassium tolerance of rice. The OsHAK7 gene is responsible for absorbing K+ from soil in rice. The knockout mutant of the OsHAK7 gene is sensitive to low potassium, the K+ absorption of rice is significantly reduced, and the potassium ion content in the plant is significantly reduced. The K+ absorption capacity of an OsHAK7 gene overexpression plant is obviously enhanced, the potassium ion content in the plant is obviously increased, and the low-potassium tolerance capacity of the plant is obviously enhanced. According to the invention, the low potassium tolerance of rice is improved, and a new gene resource is provided for cultivating a new rice variety suitable for potassium-deficient soil.

Description

technical field [0001] The application relates to the technical field of genetic engineering, in particular to a method for cultivating low-potassium tolerant rice. Background technique [0002] Potassium ions are very abundant divalent cations in plant cells, and play an important role in a series of physiological and biochemical processes such as photosynthesis, regulation of cell turgor pressure and osmotic potential. Potassium is an essential mineral element for plant growth and development. Potassium deficiency will seriously affect the yield and quality of crops. [0003] The physiological process of rice absorbing potassium ions from the soil, transporting potassium ions to various parts of the ground through xylem vessels, and redistributing potassium ions is responsible for the transport proteins on the cell membrane, and various potassium transport proteins and channel proteins on the cell membrane are controlled by transcription factors and The regulation of regu...
