Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for detecting a defect in a battery pack and, more specifically, to an apparatus and method for detecting a defect in a capacitor provided inside a battery pack. According to the present invention, a noise signal is used to detect a defect in a capacitor, and thus there is an advantage in that the defect in the capacitor inside the assembled battery pack can be conveniently detected. Also, the present invention includes a compact circuit structure for noise signal output, noise signal filtering, and voltage measurement, and therefore has an advantage in that the cost of detecting defects in a capacitor can be reduced.
