Abstract

Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for driving a plasma display panel in which jitter noise can be minimized. According to the present invention, an apparatus for driving a plasma display panel includes a red dithering mask in which a dithering pattern of a red sub-pixel among the sub-pixels is stored, a green dithering mask in which a dithering pattern of a green sub-pixel in the sub-pixels is stored. dithering mask and a blue dithering mask in which the dithering pattern of the blue sub-pixel in the sub-pixel is stored, wherein the red dithering mask, the green dithering mask and the blue dithering mask are set to different from each other. Therefore, concentration of light can be prevented, and jitter noise can thus be minimized.
