[0012] The preferred embodiment of the present invention relates to methods of navigating a remotely actuable medical device in the body, and in the preferred embodiment for navigating a medical device by determining the location of the distal tip of a remotely navigable elongate medical device. In a preferred embodiment, the remotely controllable elongate medical device is a magnetically responsive medical device that orients with an applied magnetic field.
