The handheld pistol includes a trigger, barrel, hammer and a dart attached to a string or line so that the user may retract the dart after the dart is launched from the pistol.

Abstract

A dart game system that includes: a dart projecting pistol; a dart; a string attached to one end of the dart; a spool, where the spool stores the string prior to launching the dart towards a target; and a bracket that secures the spool to the dart projecting pistol. The pistol may include a barrel, a spring within the barrel, a hammer, a trigger, a trigger guard and a grip. Preferably, the target is a game board, where the game board includes a plurality of spaces representing aspects of a dart game. The plurality of spaces may include a number or a letter designated on each space.
