As shown in FIG. 1 , an exemplary glass slide 110 has a top surface 111 (with a test sample or sample 112), a bottom surface 113, a first side 114, a second or opposite side 115, a first edge disposed within the groove 102 116, and a second or opposite edge 117. Referring to FIG. 2, some slides may also have a frosted portion 118, which may be used to aid in printing numbers on the slide 110 or identifying the portion of the slide 110 that should be processed.
