Abstract

A system for determining whether slides are properly loaded into a cassette. Each slide includes one or more transparent areas and one or more opaque areas. Set the slide between the light source and the sensor. If the sensor is able to detect light from the light source, the slide is properly loaded into the cassette. A sensor or a separate controller may generate signals or data to provide an indication to a user or processing device that the slide was not loaded properly.
