Abstract

The present invention discloses a connector plug comprising a plug body formed along a longitudinal axis and holding a plurality of contacts arranged in differential pairs. Each passage extends along a vertical axis of the plug body and is perpendicular to said longitudinal axis. The vias of the first differential pair are grouped adjacent the vias of the second differential pair on a common side of the longitudinal axis to the opposite side of the longitudinal axis. The connector plug also has a wire guide having a first end connected to one end of the plug body. The wire guide has a second end that receives a cable comprising twisted differential pairs of wires. The wire guide has guide slots carrying corresponding twisted differential pairs of wires. The second end has a wire routing slot extending from the guide slot to the passageway. Each wire routing slot receives a wire.
