Problems solved by technology

[0009] The resonant effect of microwave on microbial growth rate has been confirmed by most scholars, but there are still some studies that fail to confirm the above effect, and it is believed that the resonant effect of microwave on microbial growth rate is also affected by some other unknown and unproven factors (Gubkina EA et al. Radiates Biol Radioecol, 1996; Grundler WF et al. Phys. Lett., 1997)

Embodiment 1

[0021] Pour 10 mL of Porphyridium cruentum culture solution into a plate with a flat bottom, and treat the microalgae culture solution once with a microwave oven with a power of 160w and a treatment time of 60s. After the cultivation period, the harvested biomass increased by 22% compared with the untreated Porphyridium. At the same time, the contents of polysaccharides, phycobiliproteins, and unsaturated fatty acids also increased correspondingly.

Embodiment 2

[0023]Pour 10 mL of Rhodella reticulata culture solution into a plate with a flat bottom, and treat the microalgae culture solution once with a microwave oven at a power of 522w and a treatment time of 36s. After the cultivation period, the harvested biomass was 27% higher than that of untreated rosea. Simultaneously, the content of phycobiliprotein and polysaccharide also increases correspondingly.

Embodiment 3

[0025] Pour 10 mL of Nannochloropsis oceanica culture solution into a plate with a flat bottom, and treat the microalgae culture solution once with a microwave oven at a power of 324w and a treatment time of 48s. After the cultivation period, the harvested biomass increased by 12% compared with the untreated rose algae. At the same time, the content of unsaturated fatty acids also increased accordingly.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method to increase micro algae biomass with microwave, which comprises the following steps: drawing algae liquid; injecting into plate with flat bottom; adjusting power at 162-900 w and disposing time of microwave oven at 12s-60s; using ice water bath to avoid excess temperature; switching in fresh culture medium; culturing to logarithmic early stage; proceeding analytical test; or culturing to logarithmic early stage after the first radiation; fetching 10mL; proceeding radiation repeatedly; doing the same to the second, third and fourth. This method possesses simple device and safe operation, which can increase output of the product at 10%-60%.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for increasing the biomass of microalgae by using microwave treatment. Background technique [0002] Porphyridium cruentum belongs to the unicellular algae of Rhodophyta, rich in various bioactive substances (Huang Jian et al., Food and Fermentation Industry, 2005). Studies in recent years have shown that Porphyridium and its exopolysaccharides have (1) antiviral effect; (2) blood lipid regulating effect (Chen Bilian et al., Acta Applied and Environmental Biology, 2004); (3) anti-inflammatory effect or anti-tumor cell (5) Anti-radiation effect; (6) Hypoglycemic effect (Liu Liping, China Marine Pharmaceuticals, 2005). Since the research on the pharmacodynamics of Porphyridium and its exopolysaccharide has made significant progress, increasing the biomass of Porphyridium and reducing production costs have become the hot and difficult points of current research. [0003] Rose algae (Rhodella reticulata) is a single-cell...
