Abstract

Presently, most of acaricides in China and abroad are old products such as dicofol of diphenylcarbinol, propargite of sulfurous esters and isocarbophos of organic phosphorous. Most of the old products confront with high resistance due to being used for a long period and the old products are effective only by using in a large dosage; furthermore, the residence time of the old products is long and residue of dicofol is found in crops even one year after the dicofol is applied; isocarbophos is a highly toxic pesticide which is prohibited in the production of green foods, and in most regions where isocarbophos is used for too long time, strong resistance to isocarbophos is generated. Therefore, the old products can not meet the market demands and a novel acarcide is in urgent needed to solve the problems. Aiming at the functions of acarcide, researchers in our company develops a novel compound acarcide - fenbutatin oxide and pyridaben cream which is effective to red spider mites of orange trees and has the advantages of strong killing ability to prosopon acarid, nymphs and young acarid and acarid eggs, long effective period, no temperature influence, good environmental compatibility and safety to natural enemies.
