Abstract

The invention discloses a driving device which is used for driving a backlight unit to provide a light source. The driving device comprises an image signal processing unit, a brightness compensation unit and an inverter, wherein the image signal processing unit is used for receiving an image signal and outputting working period data according to the image signal; the brightness compensation unit is coupled with the image signal processing unit and is used for receiving and counting the working period data; when the working period data are in a setting working period for a certain time, the light source is changed into second brightness from first brightness and a bright compensation signal is outputted by the brightness compensation unit; and the inverter is coupled between the brightness compensation unit and the backlight unit and is used for receiving the brightness compensation signal and compensating the brightness of the backlight unit according to the brightness compensation signal so that the second brightness is changed into the first brightness.
