Abstract

The invention relates to an adaptive analysis multi-dimensional processing system. A system includes a multidimensional data processing system that stores metadata identifying a plurality of variables, a plurality of dimensions for each variable that describe attributes of the variable, and a plurality of levels in each dimension. Metadata also identifies the hierarchy of dimensions and levels for each variable. The multidimensional data processing system is configured to perform multidimensional queries using metadata to obtain data for one or more variables from a data store. The system also includes a variable determination module that determines at least one of the plurality of variables to be used to generate the model, and a model generator that receives data from the multidimensional data processing system and generates a model using the data.
