The LED handrail lighting system comprises a hollow handrail casing pipe with lamp holes, and LED lighting components which are arranged in cavities at the lamp holes of the handrail casing pipe, wherein each LED lighting component comprises an optical lens which is wedged in a lamp hole; a substrate provided with an LED bead is fixedly connected below the optical lens; a radiating fin is closely connected below the substrate; and the lighting component is fixedly connected with the handrail casing pipe. The LED lighting component is detachably connected with a handrail, so the LED lighting component can be individually replaced without the replacement of the entire handrail to save replacement time and cost when failing to realize normal lighting due to malfunction. In addition, because the LED bead is covered by the optical lens, light uniformly irradiates on the ground through optical processing of the optical lens, the adverse condition of light divergence is eliminated, glare is effectively controlled, discomfort of pedestrians is greatly reduced, and the lighting effect that the light can be seen but the lamp cannot be seen is achieved.
