The invention relates to the technical field of slope engineering construction, in particular to a construction method for preventing collapse in a slope construction process, which comprises the following steps of: dividing at least two unit slope sections in a preset slope excavation area along the direction from the slope top to the slope bottom; when the first unit slope section is constructed, the first slope surface is exposed; a supporting structure is arranged at the bottom of the first slope surface; based on the supporting structure, a protection structure is arranged along the outer surface of the first slope surface; and other unit slope sections are constructed according to the protection mode of the first unit slope section. The construction of the slope is split from the slope top to the slope bottom according to the unit slope section, so that protection is carried out while excavation construction is carried out on the unit slope section, the anti-collapse capacity of the unit slope section is improved, and therefore the construction method can be applied to slope construction in rainy seasons or areas where rainy days are frequent; the construction reliability of the side slope under severe conditions is improved; and the construction risk is reduced.
