The Chinese medicinal composition for treating burns and scalds is prepared from the following Chinese medicinal herbs in weight proportion: 12-50g of rehmannia root, 6-25g of Chinese angelica tail, 5-15g of Szechuan golden thread, 5-15g of amur corktree bark, 5-30g of Chinese teasel root, 9-15g of figwort root, 5-15g of curcuma, 30-60g of tea oil and 10-20g of yellow beewax. The preparation method comprises the steps of: firstly, decocting the tea oil in a pot on strong heating fire to a boiling state, then adding all the Chinese medicinal herbs, frying on slow fire till the Chinese medicinal herbs become brown, removing slag, placing the yellow beewax into the pot while the tea oil is hot, stirring uniformly, separating the pot away from the fire, filtering, cooling to form paste, bottling and sealing to obtain the Chinese medicinal composition.
