Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method or device for estimating a pixel intra-frame predicted value. The method comprises the following steps of: determining a target coding block to be predicted as a non-square block, and determining a first adjoined block adjoined to the short edge of the target coding block and a second adjoined block adjoined to the long edge of the target coding block; determining a first prediction mode for predicting a pixel point of the target coding block according to the first adjoined block; determining other N types of prediction modes, except for the first prediction mode, of the pixel point of the target coding block according to the second adjoined block, wherein N is a natural number more than 1; and determining a prediction mode used for the estimation of the target coding block from the first prediction mode and the N types of prediction modes, and predicting the pixel of the target coding block according to the determined prediction mode. The embodiment of the invention reduce the space distance between a predicted pixel and a reference pixel thereof, and therefore coding efficiency is enhanced.
