The method comprises the following steps: firstly establishing a blood color model and a skin color model, and initializing a threshold value; then carrying out defective video feature detection on video images, and sorting defective video features, wherein the defective video feature detection comprises motion detection, character detection, sensitive position detection, skin color pixel detection and blood color pixel detection; and then determining the restricted grade of the video images comprehensively according to the detection sorting result of the detecting and sorting steps. By virtue of introducing the skin color pixel detection and the blood color pixel detection, the detection rate and the reliability are improved, and obtained proportion features become more reliable, thus the detection rate of the detected defective video can be improved accurately, and the control service of a multimedia video and the automatic grading of a movie video are convenient.
