The address distribution method includes that: the DHCP server receives contract extension requests sent by the DHCP client side; the DHCP server judges whether addresses requesting for contract extension are contained in a conflict lease recorded by itself, the DHCP server returns a DHCP-negative acknowledge (NAK) message to the DHCP client side and collects the addresses requesting for contract extension in a DHCP address pool on yes judgment; and the DHCP server selects addresses from the DHCP address pool for performing matching when the DHCP server receives address acquiring requests sent by the DHCP client side later. On premises of not adding additional memory expense, the address distribution method and the address distribution device solve problems of disorder in address distribution and even dropping of constant users caused by lease loss of stand-alone devices.
