Embodiment Construction

[0018] The laryngoscope 1 that is the subject of the present invention comprises:

[0019] - the main body 2, which is cylindrical and hollow, one end of which is placed in the throat;

[0020] - at least one handle 6, one end of which is fixed to the other end of the body 2; and

[0021] - At least one sleeve 7 fixed to the other end of the handle 6 not connected to the body 2 and facilitating the movement of the body 2 .

[0022] The main body 2 comprises: at least one channel 3 extending along the upper outer wall of the main body 2 from its end placed in the throat towards its end with a handle 6, on which the cannula is placed; at least a ridge 4 which extends along the outside of the channel 3 and prevents the cannula from slipping in the throat; and at least two cavities 5 on the end thereof where it is attached to the handle 6 .

[0023] The channel 3 is sized such that a portion of the surface of the cannula can rest thereon, and the cannula 3 can be located on the...

Abstract

This invention is related to a laryngoscope used in endoscopic surgery of the larynx. The laryngoscope (1) which is the subject of this invention includes; a body (2) which is cylinder in shape and empty inside with one end placed inside the larynx, at least one handle (6) fixed with one tip to the other end of the body (2) and at least one sleeve (7) which is fixed to the other end of the handle (6) unconnected to the body (2) and facilitates the motion of the body (2).The body (2) includes; at least a canal (3)upon which the intubation tube is placed; a ridge (4)preventing the slippage of the intubation tube within the larynx; and at least two burrows (5) located on its end attached to the handle (6).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to laryngoscopes for endoscopic surgery of the throat. Background technique [0002] In the known technique of endoscopic surgery of the throat, a laryngoscope is used to view the lumen of the throat and a cannula is placed inside the throat to enable the patient to breathe during the surgical intervention. This cannula remains outside and below the laryngoscope. However, in the case of surgical interventions on the posterior half of the pharynx, the cannula must be raised anteriorly for the laryngoscope. During the surgical intervention, the cannula must remain over the laryngoscope. Since both the cannula and the laryngoscope are cylindrical and since there is no structure to secure the cannula to the laryngoscope, the cannula slides off the top of the laryngoscope and may fall to the rear of the laryngoscope. In this case, the procedure must be suspended and the cannula repositioned over the laryngoscope. The forego...
