Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a lighting fixture (10) configured to transfer heat generated by a light source (34) and any associated electronics toward the front of the lighting fixture. The lighting fixture includes a heat dissipation cup (4) formed of a material that conducts heat efficiently and a light source attached to the inside of the heat dissipation cup. The cooling cup has a bottom panel (20), a rim and at least one side wall (18) extending between the bottom panel and the rim. A light source is coupled to the bottom panel on the inside of the cooling cup and is configured to emit light in a forward direction through the opening formed by the rim. Heat generated by the light source during operation is transferred radially outward along the bottom panel and in a forward direction along the at least one sidewall toward the rim of the thermal cup.
