Abstract

An apparatus and method for playing data played in a device connected to a portable terminal in another device are provided. The means for storing data of peripheral devices in a portable terminal includes a User Interface (UI) management unit and a data processing unit. The UI management unit is configured to display a UI for controlling data played in the peripheral device in case of connection with the peripheral device. The data processing unit is configured to copy the played data of the peripheral device through the UI and display a list of the copied data. The data processing unit is also configured to transmit selected data from the displayed list to another device.
