The culture of the virus strain requires a serum-free DMEM culture solution containing trypsin and magnesium chloride. The virus strain can be used for preparation of a PEDV diagnostic kit and a PEDV vaccine, has good immunogenicity, and can make up for the deficiency of few conventional vaccine types.
