Abstract

The method comprises receiving a switching message transmitted from a source-side access network node; selecting a target-side core network node and transmitting the switching message to the target-side core network node in order that the target-side core network node acquires context information of UE from a source-side core network node; and receiving a switching acknowledgement message transmitted from the target-side core network node. According to the direct switching method, the source-side access network node transmits the switching message to the target-side access network node; the target-side access network node selects the target-side core network node and transmits the switching message to the target-side core network node; and the target-side core network node requests the context information of UE from the source-side core network node to complete switching. Thus, a switching purpose is achieved by signaling interaction among a few nodes such that network jam caused by multiple signaling interactions is prevented.
