Abstract

The invention discloses a method and device for acquiring an optical comb through an er-doped mode-locked fiber laser. The method comprises the steps that the repeated frequency of the optical comb generated by the er-doped mode-locked fiber layer and one mode of the optical comb are simultaneously locked on the three-level structure of a same atomic system to obtain the optical comb with a stable mode, so that a frequency source acquiring device is made to be compact in structure and small in occupied physical space, and therefore the demand for the portability of the frequency source device of applications such as optical fiber communication is met. The method and device can achieve output of laser comb-shaped spectral lines within the range from 1510 nm to 1610 nm, the time domain pulse width of lasers is 150 fs, and the average power is 40 mW. The long-term stability of the repeated frequency is 3E -12, and the long-term stability of a single mode is 7E-12. The index can meet the communication demand based on the optical comb, and great application potentiality is achieved in the optical fiber communication field.
