Embodiment Construction

[0024] Hereinafter, the manufacturing method of the glass of this embodiment is demonstrated. figure 1 It is a process diagram explaining the process of the manufacturing method of the glass substrate of this embodiment.

[0025] The manufacturing method of a glass substrate mainly includes a melting step (ST1), a clarification step (ST2), a homogenization step (ST3), a supply step (ST4), a forming step (ST5), a slow cooling step (ST6), and a cutting step ( ST7). In addition, a grinding step, a grinding step, a cleaning step, an inspection step, and a packing step are included, and the plurality of glass plates stacked in the packing step are transported to the supplier of the supplier.

[0026] figure 2 It is a diagram schematically showing an apparatus performing steps from the melting step (ST1) to the cutting step (ST7). The device as figure 2 The strand shown mainly includes a melting device 200 , a forming device 300 , and a cutting device 400 . The melting device...

Abstract

Provided is a method for production of a glass substrate, whereby the eroded length of an electrode in the dissolution bath during operations can be correctly estimated, and the operating interval extended. The method includes a step of calculating the amount of tin oxide eluted into the glass substrate from the electrode, on the basis of difference between the weight of the tin oxide contained in the glass substrate and the weight of the tin oxide supplied to the glass substrate from the glass starting material; a step of calculating the eroded length of the electrode on the basis of the eluted weight; and a step of pushing the electrode to a predetermined position towards the direction of the molten glass, on the basis of the eroded length.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a glass substrate. Background technique [0002] For example, when manufacturing the glass substrate for flat panel displays (FPD, flat panel display), the glass raw material thrown into a melting tank is melted normally, and molten glass is manufactured. After the molten glass is clarified by defoaming or the like, it is formed into a glass sheet by a forming device. A glass substrate is obtained by cutting this glass sheet to a specific length. [0003] When a glass raw material is melt|dissolved and a molten glass is manufactured, the glass raw material injected|thrown-in to the liquid surface of a molten glass is melt|dissolved by flames, such as a burner. Specifically, the glass raw material starts to melt gradually by heat radiation from the furnace wall heated by a burner or the like or a high-temperature gas phase environment, and melts into the molten glass below. On the other hand...
