Abstract

The method comprises the following operation steps that cofferdams are arranged at water outlets in the peripheries of a swamp and a lake where alligator weeds grow; sluice valves are arranged on the cofferdams; water is stored, the water quality is clean water, and the water floods the alligator weeds; the alligator weeds are kept in a complete water logging state, and the water is kept flooding about 30 cm over the highest growing point of the alligator weeds. The swamps and lakes with the clean water as the main water quality are selected, the growth period of the alligator weeds is effectively inhibited by adopting the method, the inhibiting effect at the 30cm-position of the water logging depth is most obvious, the plant height is averagely reduced for 4 cm at the third week, the leaf length and width are respectively reduced for 0.3 cm and 0.2 cm at the second week, the maximum inhibiting period is reached, and the effect of inhibiting the alligator weed growth is realized.
