Disclosed is a method for reducing coexistent interferences between a WiMAX module and a WiFi module. The method includes the following steps: obtaining a work frequency allocated by a communication base station to the WiMAX module; comparing the obtained work frequency of the WiMAX module and a preset work frequency; and setting the work frequency of the WiFi module according to the comparison result. The invention also provides a system for reducing the coexistent interferences between the WiMAX module and the WiFi module.
