[0028] The detailed description, given below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, is intended as an illustration of various configurations and is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure. Rather, the detailed description includes specific details for the purpose of providing a thorough understanding of the inventive subject matter. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that these specific details are not required in every instance, and in some instances, well-known structures and components are shown in block diagram form for clarity of presentation.

[0029] The techniques described herein may be used for various wireless communication networks, such as CDMA, TDMA, FDMA, OFDMA, SC-FDMA, and others. The terms "network" and "system" are often used interchangeably. CDMA networks can implement such as Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA), Telecommunications Industry Association's (TIA's) and other wireless technologies. UTRA technolog...

Abstract

Interference mitigation solutions are disclosed for interference experienced based on asymmetric uplink (UL) / downlink (DL) slot configurations. Identifying aggressor / victim network entities using measurements or static / semi-static methods to identify victim network entities affected by interference from transmissions from the aggressor network entity. The Inter-Cell Interference Coordination (ICIC) mechanism is extended to negotiate and resolve scheduling that intelligently mitigates interference occurring in colliding slots.

Description

technical field [0001] In general, aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communication systems, and in particular, aspects of the present disclosure relate to interference mitigation in asymmetric long-term evolution (LTE) deployments. Background technique [0002] Wireless communication systems are widely deployed to provide various communication services such as voice, video, packet data, messaging, broadcast, and so on. These wireless systems may be multiple-access networks capable of supporting multiple users by sharing the available network resources. Such networks are typically multiple-access networks, supporting communications for multiple users by sharing available network resources. One example of such a network is the Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN). UTRAN is the Radio Access Network (RAN) defined as part of the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), a third generation (3G) mobile phone technology supported by the Th...
